Dr. Sleep: Here' I: It's just not the same. When Rose pulled her hand out I couldnt help but think of the degloving scene in Geralds Game. The only thing that would make this scary is if Jack Torrence appeared as a zombie in Doctor Sleep. It Chapter 2 & Doctor Sleep Great year for Stephen Kings' fans. This would probably make more sense if I watched the shining. Im gona watch this in the cinema, just so i could scream RWBY. Wish somebody would call me “light if my life” like that. Got the New Years Eve Ball invitation.

Nobody: horror movie trailer: single piano note. If anything this scene - as well as aspects of Doctor Sleep the book - support the idea that the Losers' Club from It had the Shine. If you recall, Bill Denborough astral projects himself to another dimension to commune with the cosmological being Maturin. I wasnt expecting the vampire/immortality themes, and some of the homages towards the end were kind of corny, cliched fan service, but overall this was an awesome movie. Would watch again.

This movie, while being really good, and probably my favorite movie this year alongside the joker, does have some elements that stops me from giving it a 10/10. Lets start with the amazing director Mike Flanagan, who, in my opinion, may have pulled of a task that many - including me thought was impossible. Make a worthy sequel to the shining.
The casting is seriously great, i loved Ewan Mcgregor as Dan.
Lets get to the bits where i did think it falls short though. It would have needed to be a tiny bit longer. The ending felt like it became a bit rushed, mostly with the climax with the villain. Also, instead of recreating scenes from the shining, why not use the real deal? I didnt see a bigger reason for any of the scenes that DIDNT feature a recreation of the shining for them to be in there at all. I think that could have been done differently, but i understand that the filmmakers wanted to flourish some nostalgia. Otherwise then that - Mike Flanagan, you goddamn genius. And to my favorite author, Stephen King, you remain a legend.
I recommend to watch the movie the shining (1980) first. This is a great part 2. It is scary and the storyline is awesome.
